flightgear-data-models software package provides FlightGear Flight Simulator -- standard models, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install flightgear-data-models
flightgear-data-models is installed in your system.
Make ensure the flightgear-data-models package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep flightgear-data-models *
You will get with flightgear-data-models package name, version, architecture and description in a table
